The Banque centrale du Luxembourg (BCL), member of the Eurosystem,offers a(n):

INTERNSHIP IN NUMISMATICS (m/f/d)

Full time - (ref. ST-09/CN3/2024)

Your missions:
  • Support the team in the BCL’s collection management by:
    • Helping to acknowledge receipt of new incoming items and updating the listings;
    • Providing support with the conduct of regular inventories and the check of the state of the items' preservation;
  • Assist with enhancing the content of the collection by:
    • Helping to prospect the market to identify new items for acquisition;
    • Preparing internal documentation for the Board;
  • Contribute to the financial estimation of the value of the collection;
  • Support in proposing, preparing and organizing exhibitions on dedicated themes;
  • Contribute to the project of the digitalization of BCL’s collection.
Your profile:
  • You are currently enrolled in Master’s studies in Numismatics;
  • You are passionate about coins and the numismatics;
  • You have an interest in Luxembourgish and European history and culture;
  • You have good organisational skills (priority management, meeting deadlines);
  • You are fluent in English, any other language is considered an asset;
  • You have excellent knowledge in all standard office applications (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
