The Banque centrale du Luxembourg (BCL), member of the Eurosystem, is currently seeking to recruit a(n):

MIDDLE-OFFICE SYSTEMS & TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (m/f/d) - career A1

Full time - (ref. 01/OP5/2026)

Your mission:

Within the Middle Office section, your role is to reinforce the team’s capacity to run and optimise processes, to support innovation and IT solutions enhancement. The selected candidate will contribute to the integration of technological developments within operational processes, with a view to improving efficiency and adaptability.
In addition, the role foresees a contribution to Eurosystem-related work as well as supporting the department’s strategic orientation towards innovation while maintaining operational efficiency and continuity.

Your responsibilities:
  • You support the implementation of technology-oriented solutions within the Middle Office section, with the view to strengthen the middle office business processes related to the collateral eligibility and the counterparties management, and in alignment with related initiatives and the broader strategic objectives of the Operations department;
  • You assist in the effective integration of new tools and practices into daily operational processes to minimise the operational risk;
  • You contribute to the review of the reference data management process within the Operations department;
  • You contribute to Eurosystem networks, task forces or working groups, particularly in the area of collateral eligibility or related topics.
Your profile:
  • You hold a Master’s degree in business administration, finance, computer sciences, management information system or equivalent;
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally combining operational and technical expertise;
  • You have a background in operations, with a solid foundation in management information systems or technological tools, enabling a thoughtful contribution within an operational context – a strong technological and AI-focused mindset would be considered as an advantage;
  • Experience in TARGET Services and/or SWIFT would be an asset;
  • Experience in Business Process Management (e.g. ARIS) would be considered as an advantage;
  • You are open-minded, adaptable, and solution-oriented, with a clear motivation to contribute to innovation within a stable institutional environment;
  • You have good communication and good interpersonal skills;
  • You can demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as working collaboratively across teams and to facilitate structured communication between different stakeholders;
  • You have a strong sense of responsibility, availability and respect for deadlines;
  • English is required – knowledge of French, German or Luxembourgish is considered an asset.
