Liquidity Supervision

The Banque centrale du Luxembourg (BCL), member of the Eurosystem, is currently seeking to recruit a(n):

ECONOMIST - SUPERVISOR (m/f/d) - career A1

Full time - (ref. 19/SL1/2025)

Your mission:

Within the Micro-prudential liquidity supervision Section, you are responsible for supervising the liquidity of credit institutions at micro-prudential level. You contribute to this function through on-site inspections and off-site monitoring.

Your responsibilities:
  • You prepare and conduct on-site inspections of credit institutions in relation to their liquidity risk management framework;
  • You manage the prudential liquidity supervision of credit institutions within your scope;
  • You collect and analyse qualitative and quantitative information in relation to the liquidity risk of credit institutions under your supervision;
  • You follow and analyse prudential indicators and reports;
  • You organize and conduct meetings with the supervised entities;
  • You participate to relevant BCL internal and international working groups;
  • You contribute to reports and presentations dedicated to the Executive Board of the BCL.
Your profile:
  • You hold a master’s degree or equivalent in Economics or Finance;
  • First experience within the financial sector, in particular in the field of banking supervision, risk management or internal audit would be considered as an advantage;
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the applicable EU and national regulatory framework regarding banking supervision;
  • Practical knowledge and experience in the extraction, management and analysis of quantitative data would be considered as an asset;
  • Excellent command of English both written and spoken. Knowledge of French, German and/or Luxembourgish would be an advantage;
  • You are proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
  • You are known for your organization skills and to meet deadlines;
  • You have excellent analytical, synthesis and writing skills;
  • Your interpersonal skills will allow you to fit easily into your team and carry out your missions with external parties;
  • Availability for occasional missions abroad.
